Antique Black Forest Hand Carved Wooden Hare Whip Hook

This is a very rare antique Black Forest Hand Carved Wooden Hare Whip Hook that was given to my, now deceased, father from his uncle in Switzerland in 1970, but based on the research I've done, I believe it was carved in the late 1800's.. It's carved out of solid walnut and the hooks are from a Chamois.

On the back, it is carved To Howard from Uncle Paul, Dec. 1970, Switzerland It's in amazing condition and almost glows with it's orange glass eyes! The stick that the hare is holding says "Partenkirchen" which is a small town in southern Bavaria. This is a valuable family heirloom but it just doesn't have a place in our home decor, so we've decided to sell it.
